Do you experience your daily life as gray, repetitive, and best described as "same old, same old"? Or do you maybe experience your life as filled only with negative surprises, if any?
If you answered any of these questions with a yes, The Awareness Booster Game Journal is here to help you. In this unique and gameful journal, an avid life gamer with over a decade of experience of living gamefully, Victoria Ichizli-Bartels introduces a fun game that makes self-awareness feel effortless, joyful, and even fun. Instead of struggling with your emotions, you explore your life as it unfolds, both around and inside you, and pay attention to small and big epiphanies, discovering how they turn your life from mundane and tedious to fun and even miraculous.
The Awareness Booster Game Journal provides space for 100 epiphanies, 25 of which you can mark as rare and explore their effects on you and your life in greater depth.
The chapters at the beginning of this journal introduce the Gameful Journals Series, this journal, and how to play the Awareness Booster Game, and provide you with examples from Victoria's collection of awareness boosters and her reflection rounds exploring how they affected her and her life.
Don't wait any longer, open this journal, open your mind and heart, have your curiosity and fun-detecting antenna on, and discover the magic of small and big inspiring moments that can brighten, empower, and enrich your life beyond your expectations.
Victoria Ichizli-Bartels is a writer, coach, and consultant with a background in semiconductor physics, electronic engineering (PhD), information technology, and business development.
While not a traditional gamer, Victoria coined the term "self-gamification," a gameful and playful approach to self-care and self-help that combines anthropology, kaizen, and gamification-based methods to enhance quality of life.
She approaches all areas of her life this way. Because of the fun she has turning everything in her life into games, Victoria intends never to stop designing, developing, and playing them. Inspired by a friend's tip, she now likes to call everyone who approaches their life gamefully, including herself, a "life-gamer."
With over a decade of experience living gamefully, Victoria is the author of more than 15 books and the instructor of 2 online courses on turning life into fun games and on perceiving it as the best collection of games we design, develop, and play.
Victoria grew up in Moldova and has lived in Germany for twelve years. Since 2008, she has lived in Aalborg, Denmark, with her husband and two children.
