The International Mobile Library Festival 1994 Many years ago, the International Mobile Library Festival was held at Skallerup Klit Holiday Center near Hjørring in North Jutland, which successfully attracted 67 book buses and around 550 participants from 13 countries. On May 27-28, 1994, approximately 550 librarians, mobile library drivers, and other mobile library enthusiasts gathered from 13 European countries, including France, Slovenia, Estonia, Greece, and neighboring countries like Germany and Norway. A mobile library from England participated from the west, two mobile libraries from Drôme in France came from the south, a children's mobile library from Tromsø, Norway joined from the north, and the mobile library Mathilde from Vase / Vaase in Finland was also present. The opening speech was delivered by former Prime Minister Anker Jørgensen, who spoke about our Nordic cultural heritage.
He graduated with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science (Cand.scient.bibl.) with a specialization in mobile libraries. He has worked in both Denmark and Norway.
